While clicking around, looking for info. on a particular fern that came in, I ran across a new (and now favourite) blog. The House Plant Guru had a blog entry from a visit to a botanical garden. (Can't find that particular post, or recall the facility, but the pic was an enchanting bit of tropical abundance; a sturdy branch hung with vines, and epiphytes, mosses, etc.)

    I WANT THAT!!!

Good thing I didn't order another Exo-Terra viv last week, 'cause I would have chosen the wrong one. The current viv I have and love, is 24" high. If I want to re-create something resembling the above scene, I'll need the 36" high (gravel and substrate on the bottom takes up 6", anyway). Amazon doesn't sell that biggest size; it'll have to be special ordered from one of the Pet Co/Smart/Sense outlets. Based on the current model, it will weigh at least 100lbs, and I expect it'll cost about $500??

    I'm saving up.
    Worth the wait.
    Worth the money.
