VERY quick question about heating T8 please help
    Hey people

i know im supposed mount my rhp on one side of my cage but i decided to put it in the back corner, rather than centered with the side of the cage. Is this kosher? Figured the panel being away from the glass would be preferable. Am I splitting hairs here? Any input would be appreciated!! Thanks guys and girls.

I think it's just a matter of personal preference. Depending on the size of your enclosure if the RHP is in the back corner it may not increase the overall ambient temps as much as if it were centered. Other than that you should be able to create the desired warm side temps.

As long as the RHP is the proper size, it shouldn't matter. I have a Reptile Basics 80 watt RHP in a T8 that does the job but then I also have a 40 watt in a split T10 that also does the job. Where you place it is just personal preference.

Thanks for the advice. I have an 80 watt reptile basics so knowing that your 40 watt heats up your t10 puts my mind at ease. Thanks again for taking the time to answer my question.
