    Who uses heat panels?
Is there anybody here that uses heat panels and could tell me how they work? How do you hang them, from the side or top of cage. Do they dry out the air like bulbs? I was thinking of getting rid of my lamps and UTH if they work like they say. And how much am I looking at to heat a 36"w x 26"d x 44"h wood enclosure. Or if you have any other ideas I would appreciate them.

The only problem your going to have is with the height.. A heat panel will make a nice hot spot for your animal but at that height its only going to warm the air temps. Under tank heat is going to be your best bet for a "basking spot" The ambients can be fixed with a heat panel light bulb or CHE.. Hope this helps,

I'm heating a wooden enclosure (40x20x20) and it seems to work great. I have mine mounted on the ceiling, but my cage isn't nearly as tall as yours. I'd take Matt's advice :)
