Is this Normal or should i be scared.
ive been attempting to breed ballpythons for the first time. ive been doing night drop for about a month and now my female dosnt ever sit on the hotspot. a few times shes been wraped aroung the water bowl sometimes ontop of it. should I introduce her to a male of not?

That is pretty typical during follicle development. It's often referred to a "bowl wrapping". It's a good sign and you can go ahead and pair them if you'd like.

rlditmars is right on the money .... I would also recommend that you spend your free moments browsing and reading the BP Breeding Forum specifically the stickies at the top of the breeding forum :gj:

Hi Knightfall. I am not trying to be rude but if you have started pairing and just now are asking questions about breeding such as this you are not prepared and should not have started breeding. There is much you need to do especially since it sounds like she is building. You really need to get to the breeding section of the forum and start at reading the stickies and then others posts about their successes and failures to get an idea of what to expect. You also need to get your incubator started now so that it is built and stable for when the eggs arrive. If you want to do maternal incubation then you really need to be doing in depth research on the subject. If you have not introduced i would say don't do it until you are fully prepared. This is not something to get into lightly as there are many signs that you have to look for and quite a bit of monitoring you have to do over a few months time. Also are you prepared to care for babies, vet bills in case of issues, do you know your animals are the correct sizes, etc. Again from your questions it seems like you are not very well informed on breeding practices and have a lot to learn before you start or if you have started you have a lot to learn to be successful and have healthy animals for the process. Just my two cents. Good luck.

yes I have probes and know how to use them I built a rack ove three months ago for babies that holds 20 tubs. and I built a incubator
