    Successful switch to FT
Its been 8 weeks since i got my new little girl betty sue, and have now switched her from live to FT. I was really worried that it would be a struggle, but it was not that hard. Week one was her adjustment week, week 2 i offered her a live food, because it is what she was used to, and she hadn't eatened anything in 2 weeks. week3 offered a FT, she refusedto touch it, so i waited till the next week. Week 4 offered a FT again, same size prey she is use to, even though she should be a size larger. This time she was so hungry she took it, but she dragged it into her hide to swallow. so far so good, she has been eating the FT rats now 4 weeks in a row. 2 questions though, she still strikes, when you stick the rats nose into the hide opening, then swallows in the hide, is this ok for now, and how long should i give her before i up her food size, she was being fed fuzzy rats from her breeder, but she really needs to get rat pups now. Is it too soon since the switch to change food size also. Thanks

You can also feed her multiple rats if that works better for you. I would just change it now though.
