    Herpstat Help
Hi! I use a 100w ceramic lamp and 16w under tank heater I am about to get a herpstat but I was wondering which model I should get. Should I connect both the lamp and UTH to it? If so should I go for Herpstat 2? Do I only need the UTH hooked up? What do you guys think? Thanks!

Depending on your set up, you probably don't even need the heat lamp. In glass tanks, I do recommend it, but you don't need a high wattage bulb, 50w would do just fine. The UTH is really the only heating source that needs to be regulated via thermostat. If you only have one snake, a herpstat 1 (or basic) will do just fine.

Just order the Herpstat 2. You can run both heat sources on it plus if you do get another snakes and find out you don't need the CHE, you can use the 2nd port of the Herpstat for the other snake. In the long run it will be cheaper since we all pretty much know, no one can just keep 1 snake :P
