    Escape!
Well, that "hospital tub" didn't last long.
I thought the top was securely latched.

Long story short, I did find him.
    Thank you, Pet Snake Gods!
House is badly torn up...gonna have to wait until tomorrow to put all the stuff back in the closets.
    I'm exhausted.

He wasn't happy about being caught, but settled down immediately in my hand.
I'd never felt him so cold!
He is back in the original tank for proper security.

Maybe after all that he is finally hungry? He hasn't eaten in a very long time.

    So am I.

It is a terrible feeling to know one's pet is in so much danger due to one's own carelessness. The tub lid snaps when it catches, but I must have done it wrong; he didn't get out through the middle (which wasn't flexible in this case, anyway), one end was loose.

I'll pick up some binder clips incase I decide to try the tub again.

    I'm glad you found him!

It's amazing how good they can be at getting out of a 'secure' tub! Mine got out once because of a tiny crack that allowed him to push it open at the top.

Don't blame yourself dis! These things happen and these guys are escape artists. I lost a Arizona mountain kingsnake hatchling twice!!!!! Found her twice! Made it up in my mind that I am going to triple check enclosures from now on. Congrats on finding her/him.
