    New BP picked up today
I just got back from Fed-Ex with my new Pastel, Lesser, Enchi male. He's very yellow with faded black and a very white underside that fades up on his sides. His eyes are very green. I named him Wizard.

I unboxed him and took him right out of his bag, he didn't even ball up or hiss. I put him in his new cage and he went right to the water bowls rim, same thing my other one did. He did a lap of the water bowl, then looked in the cool hide, then went and hung out on top of the warm hide. Now he's up in the little tree there. So far I feel he's a pretty mellow youngster. My first BP was also very chill, I was hoping this one was also. So far...he has not balled or hissed, he is all sprawled out in his cage looking around. I feel a limp snake is a sign of no stress. So far so good.

I guess he loves the feel of the RHP...he has not stopped sprawling out under it. Maybe he will utilize the hides soon....first BP I've ever seen not looking to hide during the day. He may not know about hides, he was probably in a rack. Hmmmmm

congrats! that's a good looking lil fella. i'm sure he's just adjusting to his new home, warming up from the cold shipping journey.

BTW what is that board between the paper towel substrate and the paper towel substrate/hide?

It's tile that looks like wood...It gets warmed up by the RHP and transfers good heat under the hide. The hide acts as shade to the RHP but since the tile sticks out from under it, and the RHP can radiate down on the exposed tile, it heats up real well and his hide is warmer inside. More so without using the tile. The tile also stays warm for a while when you take it out of the cage. It holds heat and transfers that heat well under the inside of his hide.

I took him out to hold him for a few mins, what a friendly little guy. When I put him back I showed him the hide opening and he zipped right in.
