    Is my "normal" something else?
    Hi everyone.
I just signed up today, this is my first post.
I have pics of my normal (his name is Rex). I have a feeling he may have some other morps(s) going on with him, but I'm not sure. I've had him for 2 weeks now (a PetSmart snake), and he was a little small when I got him. Anyway... won't be sad if he is "just" a normal, just wanna know what ya think.

I can say he appears to have a somewhat reduced pattern laterally. Black spotting and blotching seems reduced to me, almost missing. Very nice looking little guy. Lol

In certain morphs and even in normals there is a certain type of pattern you expect to see. When you don't see a expected type of pattern or when typical markings are not there it is referred to as reduced. Normal ball pythons usually have black spots or blotches inside the lateral ovals on their sides. They don't seem to be present on your guy. There are several in the first one third of his body and after that you don't see any. Lol.

Right, which is what looks different between Rex and other pics of normals I see. That makes sense. Thank you so much!

Welcome to the site. Well, I'd say it's just a normal. Having said that it has a great pattern for a normal. Very nice looking snake.
