My Egg Eater snake doing "Saw-Scales"
I had been wanting an Egg Eater for a bit, and I asked my local petstore if they could give me the finch eggs from their stock of finches. They said sure! And they also put me in contact with an employee who keeps canaries and can give me the eggs.
Then I saw a local guy advertising the sale of his whole collection- including an egg-eater. He told me I could have it for free, as he had had zero luck getting it to feed on quail eggs (which the vendor had told him that it had been eating).

And so I got this little freebie, and I named him Quinlan! He ate a finch egg the first day I got him home. So clearly, this was in issue of food size, not an unwillingness to feed. I'm so glad I won't have to syringe feed him! Up until now all my snakes have been very popular and common species, so it's cool to have something a little unusual. Anyhow, here is Quinlan! I will get a video the next time I feed him.
:D But for now here is a video of him hating me!

Yes, and I think this one is dasypeltis gansi, just from looking at the different varieties. I was not able to find much info on their care in captivity but I'm doing my best.
