Re: Western Hogsnose Pics
I am going to end up getting one of those guys one day :) I know of a CB hognose breeder here in LA that usually has some available.
I have a few questions about them:
Do they really loose their instintive defence mechanisms(puffing and playing dead) when the are captive? How are they to handle and care for?
Re: Western Hogsnose Pics
they have not puffed at me at all the female will hiss a little when I reach in to get her but she is cool once picked up.
Re: Western Hogsnose Pics
congrats on the additions!
Re: Western Hogsnose Pics
The male above is a little thin. He should be eating much larger prey items than pinkies.
Western Hogs are very easy to care for....as long as you get an established feeder, you'll be fine.
Re: Western Hogsnose Pics
Nice acquisitions - and great sourcing on those as well hehe.
Re: Western Hogsnose Pics
they were mine. i got them from a friend.
he traded me his hogg isle boas for those......hogs for hoggs. :)
