First feeding
I have been nervous about the first feeding since long before I got my BP's. I did just feed them both though for the first time. The female got a fuzzie rat, the male a small mouse (breeder said that's what he was on currently)
Anyways, they both took it at first offer after about 60 hours in their new habitat. I guess I can relax (a little) about my husbandry now. Temps and humidity have been spot to the T on but having them eat so well so quickly was my final validation that I have provided them with a safe and happy home. Now to maintain that level for the next 20 to 30 years lol.
Happy herping!

Sounds good man! How big is the male? Hatchlings and young bp's (a month or two old) can be on mouse hoppers, but it's not long before they can take a slightly larger mouse, or just put them both on rat fuzzies.

Re: First feeding
The male weighs in at only 148. I just found out today from the breeder that the was born on August 27 of last year so I was a little surprised, figured he was younger. I ended up giving him another of those mice after I thought about it and saw him in strike mode at the front of the tub. He killed that one too. Next feeding will definitely be fuzzie rat for him and probably a pup for her. I'm wanting to stick to 10 - 15% of body weight for now.

Re: First feeding
Always feels good to get the first one out of the way.
