    Digital thermostat for less than 30 bucks
    So after seeing how this vivarium (ve-100) works , I knew there had to be a cheaper way. After reading many forums in here I saw someone mention this temperature controller. Inkbird sct-1000 temperature controller. Quick search on Amazon found controller and small black box $24 .

    Some quick cut outs and some wiring total process was under 15 minutes

    So if anyone looking for cheap way out of controlling your UTH or RHP for a lot less money total spent was under 30 bucks has same controls as the ve-100

    Does it also have the safety shutoff, and temp memory incase of power failure?

    It does I am very impressed with this .. This by no means is top notch I will get herpstat 4 once I save some money. It does reset to 100 on loss of power but I have it set to 99 now so won't be much of a problem with mine. It has hi alarm and low alarm which you have to press button to reset

    at that price point its a great option for beginners or a spare...just in case.

    I have made 3 of these so far and they work great still, only thing I don't like is they are only in Celsius. Other than that no complaints.
