Advice on egg starting to mold

Was checking on my clutch this morning and noticed a little bit of mold building at the base of one egg and the egg is also starting to discolor .... I took a q tip and removed the visible fuzzy mold from the egg and I moved the vermiculite back away from the area of the egg in question ..... The eggs are on day 42 incubating at 88℉ ... You can use Elmer glue on the moldy area or some athlete's foot type product.

At 42 days I would not overly worry, I have seen a little mold develop on healthy eggs that were in their last few days of incubation.

Have you candle that egg?

Direct contact with the wet vermactulite is probably causing this, i always see people using a cut-to-sized piece of plastic light diffuser to rest the eggs ontop of the substrate so it acts as a buffer

Direct contact may not officially be the cause of the mold but its worth it to get the plastic buffer in there in my honest opinion

Yup, still got veins and they each have a shaded or darker area towards the bottom of the eggs, I am assuming this is the forming snake inside?

I would not worry to much about it. They are close to hatching,you don't want to do anything that might harm the eggs. If you must do something, I would use a little foot powder on the affected areas. Other wise just let them be.
