I forgot how...
I forgot how to post pictures. What happened to the link on posting pictures?

Re: I forgot how...
use [ img] path/to/picture.jpg[ /img] tags (without the spaces)
the gallery will give you the whole linkable string if you are posting from there.
I beleive that post was a sticky - still needs to be redone to reflect the new gallery. It is on the "how-to" list I'm compiling.

If you use Firefox as your browser, you can add the BBCode extension and it gives you a right click menu for adding pictures, URLs, and post text formatting. The Firefox extensions webpage appears to be down at the moment so i cant provide a link but if anyone wants anymore info, shoot me a PM.

Re: I forgot how...
Here's a noob question for ya. I'm new to this forum but have membership on several others. I've yet to see any option on here that allows the user to edit an existing post, however on all of the other forums I'm on... this is an option next to the quote and post quick reply buttons on the post itself. Am I missing something or are edits not enabled/allowed?

Hmm, im looking at my post right above yours and can in fact see an edit button next to the quote button.

Re: I forgot how...
It was under the FAQs on the old site but for some reason hasn't been pulled in on the new site yet. We will get it up. As Smulkin pointed out, the code is right below in any image hosted in our Gallery, and as Jeremy mentioned, it's easy as pie in Firefox with the BBCode extension.

Hmm... that's really weird. All I have are the quote button and quick reply button. Check this out...

Re: I forgot how...
For the first 30 days, new members cannot edit their own posts. This is in addition to other slightly more restrictive policies on new members as a result of problems we had at the old site with users who would register, create trouble for a day or two, edit their posts to make it look like they hadn't made trouble, etc. All registered users with 30 days or longer whose reputations aren't too low can edit their own posts for I believe 30 minutes after making the post, in case corrections or updates are needed. After that, moderators and admins can edit only.

Re: I forgot how...
Ahh... ok. That would explain it then. Thanks! :)
