    R.I.P. Medusa
The first snake that rekindled my passion for reptiles was a small snow corn hatchling with the name Medusa. From the beginning she was a problem feeder, but she was always a very curious girl who slithered around her RUB to explore her surroundings every evening. At one point, I discovered she had a small lump on her spine, which I asked a vet about. They couldn't tell for sure, but didn't think it would be an issue. Turned out it was an issue, and a big one. Her food always passed the lump, but at one point she started to probably regurgitate half-digested meals. She started to look dehydrated, and all of this happened over a very, very short period of time. All the while I was trying to get the opinions of the only reptile specialised vets in Denmark as well as corn snake breeders - noone could say for sure. Finally, she gave up on life and passed away. I'll never forget little tiny Medusa, and how she would always calm down and roll up when held in my hands like a small hide. I'm still thankful for having her, since if it had not been for her and her darling personality, I would not have begun dreaming about having my own collection and working with these amazing animals.

Thank you Medusa, you'll never be forgotten.

So sorry about little Medusa... seeing her head poking out like that reminds me of my recently departed baby corn snake when he was a little tyke. (OK, so "baby" is probably not the right term for a snake who was old enough to vote, but on some level they're always your baby)
