    Ball Python time scale
    Good afternoon,

    Just a quick one, i fed my ball last saturday and i have been trying to spot clean, my python hasnt had a poo yet... is this normal? :s

    I asked in a Facebook group yesterday. My ball Python hasnt since he ate either - apparently the answer was "each ball python is different" some do it when they shed, some do it every 2 weeks etc.. Mine hasnt even wee'd since I had it. (last saturday)

    Please keep in mind that snakes tend to have slow metabolisms, and ball pythons may have the slowest of them all.

    In addition, young BPs use a LOT of what they eat for gaining size. There shouldn't be much left over for waste. And, that's actually a good thing.

    Strip down its cage and clean it real good.....I bet it poops after that.

    Yes it is. Continue to feed on a regular schedule.

    It will poop when its ready. Taking it out for exercise can move things along too.

    Mine went about a month before it pooped. You'll know when it goes. The whole room will know...
