    Chlorhexidine 2% questions
Does anyone use this to clean out their tubs/cages? I was wondering what procedure you use to clean with it. I just picked some up and would love some advise. I want to make sure it is safe.

It's perfectly safe. I use it to clean out my enclosures. It's really just a spray it down wipe it up kind of thing. Some even say you can leave it in there and let it dry.

Thanks. Do you dilute as it states on the gallon? It seems like it would be rather weak that way?

I used it for years and I mixed it with water. Worked fine. I now use F10sc though as I personally like the smell of it better. I didn't let either ones dry. I would just spray it on, then let it sit for about 10 mins and wipe it dry. On water bowls, I would do the same but would rinse it out instead of just drying it off for obvious reasons.

We actually use it (diluted) directly on some of our injured wildlife and even our own wounds. Works great, cleans well, and is gentle enough when properly used and diluted. Use away!

Just spay it on and wipe it off. You can even use it as mouth wash if you run out. It's perfectly safe.

I fill a sink full of water and put a few ounces in it and use it to soak my waterbowls. And I spray a dilute solution on my tubs.

Remember though it's a disinfectant not a soap, I clean with soap, I disinfect with this stuff.
