    ARBM's 2016 breeding season
    hey everyone,

I have a couple of threads on here but it is just easier to have 1 thread and keep that up-dated so from now on I'll post everything that has to do with breeding for this season in this thread (like some of the others are doing :D )

It is my first breeding season, so everything is new and exciting to me :rolleye2:

On 01-28-16 my big Normal het. Hypo female had her ovulation, and today her eyes started to turn blue so she is starting her pre-lay shed.

I can't wait till she sheds as then I know when I can start expecting eggs :D I am hoping for +/- 7 eggs, as she laid 3 clutched one of 6 eggs and two of 7 eggs with the previous owner and she hasn't been bred the past 2 seasons.

I already got the incubator running a couple of days now and the temps seem to be around 88.5

    I also have had the following locks;

    Clown X Leopard
    Clown X Orange Ghost
Calico Super Pastel X Lesser Pastel
Pastel het. Pied X Pastel het. Pied
    HGWG poss. Vanilla X Mojave
HGWG poss. Vanilla X Super Fire

I'll up-date this thread when anything new happens :D

    thanks,

    Andrew

Yes, yes, I saw the pee in the back of the tub and she has a clean tub now :D

Pastel het. Piebald laying on the cool side often lately

I am hoping things are actually happening and not just wishful thinking haha

    Hey thanks Slim, that's appreciated!

I went to check on the temps in the incubator and then took a quick look in the racks and now saw my pastel het. Piebald female bowl rapping

I am getting more and more confident she might go for me this year :D

    Time to start the countdown!!

My big girl had her pre-lay shed in the night of 02-16-16 to 02-17-16

    http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...pstk3ajcbl.jpg

Now I really can't wait to see how many eggs she is gonna give me and I am a bit anxious hoping she doesn't slug out on me... (she is a proven breeder but still...)

    quick question,

do females get biiger after their pre-lay shed when they get closer to laying their eggs?
