A burn on a little lady
A few days ago a woman on CL posted that she had two BPs and a bunch of rats for 50$. I texted her, found out her son had them and left, and she has 0 snake knowledge. She thought one was a constrictor.

I meet up with her and see the conditions, refuse to pay for these animals. She says she wants to get rid of them anyway and hands me the two BPs. Thankfully I was prepared to take them home anyway, and got them settled in the car while she gets the rats. I turn around and she hands me 10 rats in a 5 gallon tank. Five females, five males. Only 4 are adults, and some of the babies are missing their eyes. The morning after I brought them home, the adult doe gave birth to a few pups, two of them lived.

Now to the snakes, I brought them home and put them in the tubs I'd set up. I put wet moss in the male snakes enclosure because he is SO ready to shed. Haven't bothered him so no pictures yet. But the female, she is 3lbs on the dot and has a healed burn along her back. It's thin and hard to see in the pics, but the only other thing I know about them is that they are both "a few" years old.

For now I'm calling her Big Mama, she's very sweet and inquisitive. She wolfed down a 6oz f/t rat yesterday.

Oh wow! It's good she just sent them off anyway instead of having them suffer possibly staying there for longer. Glad to see they're already getting care!
