    Heat panels with on/off t-stats
Anyone have any input on this? Right now I have a simple on/off hydrofarm t-stat. Looking to put a reptile basics rhp in a T8 and wanted to know if this kind of thermostat would be appropriate. The panel will be the only heat source. Thanks in advance!

Proportion thermostat keep temperature more consistent than on off and are no doubt better. However on off will work just fine. Problem most people have with on off is they tend to be the cheaper unreliable thermostats, it's not so much the on off part being the problem.

Reptile Basics recommends using a proportional thermostat in their listings.
