That does not sound like very good quarantine practices. I hope for both you and your friends sake that both animals are healthy. Best of luck.

Sorry if I was presumptuous, but the way you worded " I've been pairing my vpi axanthic female to my friend male butter im watching for about a month", it sounded as if you were only watching him a month. So it isn't a stretch to think there wasn't adequate quarantine done. And yes, I figured you know your own animal's health. Never the less, I don't have any issues with my animals that I am aware of. Yet, when I sell one of my hatchlings, if I think the Buyer has any other reptiles, I will tell the Buyer to quarantine the animal for at least 30 to 90 days. It's just best practices and I think it covers both of our behinds. You only need to make the mistake one time to have serious or irreparable consequences. In this hobby your reputation is as valuable as your animals, so it's good to take care of both.

    Didn't mean to offend.

Thank you rid! For qualifying a very important husbandry issue that is often overlooked and sometimes just not implemented. Very good point and easily missed by all of us.:gj: :gj:

Hmm...you wouldn't get anything visual out of that would you? That would be interesting to see. I am going for axanthic kingpins. I saw this one last year and it looked pretty cool. my lesser axanthic and his future harem came from him too.
