    Never seen this before!
In all my years with snakes I've never seen or heard of anything like this. It's feeding day at Chez Dave and Pyrrha is up. She's been on a tear recently. Lots of attitude, striking and hissing at everything. She's just one of those snakes. Sheds well, eats well, husbandry is right. Anyway, she struck and coiled her F/T like normal and then....as I was closing her back up, let go of the prey with her mouth, coiled harder as if to say "it's mine!", and then hissed and struck at me twice! It's a well known fact that you can literally pick up and move BPs when they've got something chomped and coiled. This is a first for me.

Just when you think you've seen it all, a ball python will show you something new.

It's not funny but it is funny. She don't play when it comes to her food :D

Like so? I don't remember when this was taken - obviously before she got bumped up in tub size. I think I had pulled the paper towel out from under her because when she squeezed that rat literally pooped everywhere. She just gave me this 'No, this is mine. What do you think you're doing?' look. Didn't hiss at me, though, and didn't let go of the rat but stared at me the entire time until I put her tub back in the rack.

Yeah pretty much like that, but it was much more aggressive and immediate after hitting the rat. She was still squeezing!
