    Reintroducing myself
Hi guys! I'm an old member but I haven't been in around in quite a while. I saw that I am a senior member here after I posted my first post :D I am pretty old but not a senior yet.

I haven't been on BP.net in a long time because life got really busy for a while. I finally got to do a life long dream of mine. My husband and I became foster parents. We were afraid at first that having snakes in the house would deter any children being placed in our home but Social Services said it would be ok. It took us about 4 months after we finished our classes to get our first call for placement. We were happy, excited and scared to death. The social worker brought us two teenage girls one was 12 and one was 15. They knew that we had snakes but still wanted to come to our home (we have family that don't want to come because of our snakes lol). They were a perfect fit. We took them to a reptile show with us and they held some of the snakes and we ended up bringing a fat tail gecko home with us. A few months after they came to live with us the social worker came over to speak with my husband and I and ask if we would want to adopt them. She said that if we didn't they would have to be moved to another foster home that would be willing to adopt. I admit that I got attached to thoughs two girls pretty quickly so of course the answer had to be yes. The adoption was final November of 2014. I can't put into words how much I love my girls:)

As for coming back to BP.net. I was looking at Facebook and I have the Reptile Report that pops up every now and again with interesting articles and pictures. That day a beautiful chocolate colored snake was the highlight. There was a link to BP.net. I was like you know what I haven't been on that site in so long let me get on there and see if my password still works. I am here so it did of course. I have really missed this site. I learned so much here about caring for ball pythons. I still have my 5 balls. I have said so many times to my husband that I don't have time to care for them anymore but every time I look at their beautiful faces I just can't let them go. My favorite part of BP.net are the photos so you will see my name pop up there mostly so keep posting your pictures. I am going to end it here I hope I didn't put anyone to sleep.

I'm new here, myself - but welcome back! I wish more people would look into adopting. There are just too many kids that need someone. I have no children myself... I realized at a young age that I didn't want any, and I've stuck with it, but I figured that if I ever changed my mind I would adopt. The world could use a few less 'unwanted' kids. They need someone to love them.
