Yellow belly or good looking normal?
Was scrolling through some old pics and thought to myself, this little guy looks a little like a yellow belly. Unfortunately, no pics of the venter, so I'm just asking for opinions based on the dorsolateral pattern and coloration. I thought at the time he was just a good looking normal. Still leaning that way, but definitely curious.

Shoot, I meant to post this in the what morph subforum. If a mod could push this over there for me, I'd appreciate it. Please and thank you!

My normal kinda looks like that after he sheds. But I couldn't say.

I concur, Leviathan623.....:gj: :gj:

Would rather see focused photos on a better background.

These are the only pictures I have, unfortunately. The snake is in focus in all three, the only problems I personally have are 1. no shot of the venter (this is the big one), 2. first two shots the flash was a little strong (washing the picture out slightly), and 3. last shot without flash, the low light created a lot of excess noise in the shot. I'm hoping that someone who works with lots of yellow bellies and has an intuitive eye for them might stumble upon this. While for the rest of us these pics might not work, there might be a few people out there who might be able to rule it in/out based on what is available.
The thing that catches my eye is that the areas that would generally be shaded white on a normal (along the borders of the "alien heads", within the flames, etc.) appear to be a light peach shaded orange/yelliow on this animal. But I've never been seriously interested in yellow bellies, nor a great deal of experience working with them, so I don't have that intuitive feel that comes along with that.
Thanks for looking, at least.

Is there a reason your asking if it is a YB? it does have a head spot, it does have blushing that is a typical cream colored instead of white. But there is no way anyone with anyone with any kind of experience working with YB would make a decision of whether or not it is a YB without a belly or at the very least a side shot. It also used to be that YB had a lighter dorsal color and slightly browner sides, but that isn't really the case now days. I would not buy this animal if it was advertised as a YB online and they did not provide a belly shot and even then you have the YB without the typical belly pattern to deal with, but that is just my opinion. So could be a YB and could be a normal.

Re: Yellow belly or good looking normal?
Just curiosity. Like I said in my OP, I was just sifting through some old photos and this animal caught my eye. It isn't something I currently have or plan to buy/sell, if that had been the case I would have just looked at the belly myself and known pretty quickly. Just some frustrating pics sparking my curiosity, and apparently you all found them no less frustrating. Thanks to everyone for looking, anyway.
