My Normal Progression Thread (feel free to share yours too)
So I've recently seen these progression threads where people post pics and basically show everyone how their snakes are growing if I'm not mistaken. I thought it would be fun and I might as well start now that she's still rather small. So this is Kayly. She's a female normal (at least I'm pretty sure. Please tell me if you think she's anything else) and she's almost a year old (breeder said she hatched February 2015). http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01...d078a0448f.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01...e4fec08e78.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01...f623029c6e.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01...8a29111d55.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01...ac20898415.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01...bf0088c22e.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01...fd6795b7ad.jpg And there you go! I'll update soon!
Re: My Normal Progression Thread (feel free to share yours too)
From the snakes I've seen, I'm thinking she might be small for her age. 😔 I see all this stuff about weight but it's there anything that says average lengths based on age? I don't have a way to weigh her.

I'm feeding the size of her widest part. That what I was told to do. So small mice. She eats really well and sometimes seems hungry after so I could try to feed more at once. I don't want to feed her bigger because I don't want her to choke.

You are missjudging the size of the prey, that BP can take an adult mice or a rat pup probably even larger too.

Change to rats, if she get used to mice she might be picky later and wont take mice. Once she grows you will need several adult mice every time.

She may be a bit on the small side, but she's definitely a cutie! I really love her darker coloration. Her brown reminds me of milk chocolate.
This is my baby, Maytag. He's currently eating rat pups, but we'll be switching him to rat hoppers next week. He's probably about 5-6 months old. I got him at the end of August, but forgot to ask for his hatch date.
