need help figuring this out

ok we got our little guy in feb from a pet store (which had him infested with mites ... ewww) but when we asked how old he was they said that they would guess around 1year. we went to the vet a couple of weeks later ... he asked how old he was so i said that the pet store said around a year old. but when he weighed him he was only 291gr. and right about 2 foot long. im reading some of your other threads and from reading them he seems small ... so the question is do you think he is small or that they have the age wrong or what should we do?!?!?!?

edit=> i dont know how much he weighs right at this time cuz we bought a scale and it didnt work :( but he is now about 2'4" and as soon as i get a scale i will tell the weight

Probably a 2004 ch import .... this time of year, about a year old is correct for farmed babies.
