It's taken me forever to get around to it, but I thought I'd share a few (ok more than a few) pictures from 2015. It was a fun and productive year!

Cottonmouth, this guy was actually found Nov 22. I was pretty surprised he was still out.

We found a lot more than I have pictures of, but these were some of the favorites. Hope you all enjoyed.

This is awesome! I couldn't imagine living in such a herp rich environment. We only come across the random bull or rattlesnake in CO.

This was a really good year! I don't have pictures but we found (eyeballing it) a 7ish foot, massive rat snake at the beginning of the year that crawled right over my foot without a care in the world.
Lots of Ribbon snakes, various water snakes and alligators galore. The mosquitoes are horrible, but diversity wise, I love where I live!

Awesome stuff! I love field herping here in north central Florida. We usually find some interesting stuff every time we head out :)

I'm in south Arkansas the "Natural State." There is always something neat to be found!

nice! looks like a hike is always a herping expedition in your neck of the woods. thanks for sharing all the photos. :)

i've seen rattlers and only once, a Gila Monster when i lived in AZ in 2004. had geckos and small lizards show up in the apartment. i'll try to find/post pix. never herped when i lived in Cali. seen Garters and lake turtles only here in WA.

A Gila would be so neat! How awesome!

It is. There is usually something out every time I go, except in winter of course. I just look for deer then. I've got a particular buck that I have been tracking for 2 years now. I'll be going on a deer survey Monday night with the heartland network. Hoping to see him then since I haven't had a good confirmed sighting of him in about a month now. Possible sighting two weeks ago, but it was so dark I couldn't be sure.
