    Two for $175?
Hey all! I'm debating snagging two females, a lemonblast and pastel calico, both for 175 shipped. Thoughts??

I'm curious as to what people say and if I should just wait and they'll drop prices here in a couple years, or if this is a good deal or what. The expo I was at had a pastel calico (granted she had a little size, but not a whole lot) for $300, and I'd seen lemonblasts for $125 or so.

I'm leaning more towards I won't be getting them, as much as I want them I think it would be better for all involved, but still curious as to what others have to say about that deal :)

This matters far more than if you were getting then for free.

what age are they? and are they healthy? if health checks out, that's an amazing deal shipped!! that's 2 two-gene females to your door.

if u plan on getting similar female snakes, it would be better to get them now and raise them if u plan to breed. if u get the same snakes later, it might just delay your breeding plans. sure prices may fall in the future, but u don't know that and again, it will take time to get them up to size. if u have the space and means, i say go for it. :)

If you are not dead set on buying them, you should pass. I doubt their prices would drop in the next few years, but you are "not sure" then do not get them. You don't want to regret it later.

They're about 110 grams, and good health as far as I can tell.

Thanks, I will be passing them as much as I want to just snag them up and all. There's always the future when my space and everything can be improved and setup for more. I do tend to have this bad impulse-buy habit... Gotta step out of myself for a second and think as if I was someone else. I'd rather give them the best I can, so I'll wait.
Still nice hearing from others! They're ones I'll likely be getting in the future, those genes.

It's interesting, especially in the 'how much did you pay for your snake' thread, comparing what people used to be paying for versus what we pay now x)

I know you already are passing but to me that's a bad deal.
Too good to not get screwed....

Depending on who offered them to you (if theyre reputable or just a popup shop) you could be passing a crazy deal, but chances are more that either a)theyre actually both males, b)they are not eating and haven't been for a while, c)the person is just a mill and looking to clear out his stock quick or d)all of the above

Sometimes, you just get a great deal. We got our Black Widow and Super Pastel for about $200 shipped from TriReptiles - I tend to think that's a great deal. They arrived healthy, active, alert, beautiful (in my biased opinion) and other than my ongoing battle with trying to convince the Super Pastel that F/T are edible, I've never had any problem with them. I think she won that argument, actually, since there's a cage of squirmy mouse pinkies behind me right now, with their mothers, and a rat colony that I'm setting up.
