Exciting week - new snakes on the way
So. Tomorrow I'm picking up three new ball pythons - very excited for it. And there's going to be another headed this way next Wednesday, since we just found out that TriReptiles is having a 50% off one-day sale today ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Trire...51825271565494 ). We'd planned on getting her next week - but couldn't pass up 50% off! I'm very antsy about tomorrow - and now there's someone to look forward to next week, as well! I got my first two BP's from TriReptiles, and they arrived healthy and fantastic.
This is a huge uplift, since I lost my job on Monday - the company abruptly went out of business - and had to scramble Tuesday to replace a college class that got cancelled on me. Fortunately, I have some insulation to fall back on until I get another job.
Due tomorrow:
1. C/H Normal
1. Pastel Pied
.1 Ultrafly
Due next week:
.1 Pastel het. Pied

Well, now it's on the downhill slide again. Guess I should have waited before thinking the week was looking up.
The two males aren't shipping. The breeder called me, and there's too much risk of a shipment being delayed because of the storm coming in, apparently. It's not hitting here, so I hadn't even thought about it being a problem, since they would have shipped out before it blew in.
The female Ultrafly is on her way. Now I'm going to be stressed until I get her tomorrow, hoping that she doesn't get delayed and caught up in the storm. I was trying to get home and get the number, so I could call and have them hold her when I found out there was a risk, and ended up stuck behind a wreck unable to get home and get the number until just now. She's already shipped out.

Best of luck and heres to hoping the little Ultrafly gets in before the storm hits. Also don't for get quarantine with that little army of reptiles you got there!! :D

Congrats!
Let us know when she arrives safely.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Good luck! Hope she gets in safe and sound!

Thank you, everyone! I'm hoping, but until tomorrow... well, suffice to say I don't expect much sleep tonight. And I won't forget the quarantine! There are tubs set up in separate rooms, heated, tested, humidity good, hides in place and water dishes just needing to be dumped, cleaned and refilled (since they're the source of the humidity), just waiting for the new occupants. They're coming from three different breeders, so I wanted to get them quarantined separately.

Not much sleep indeed. In the middle of the night, just when I finally managed to doze off, one of my horses tried to jump the fence and got her hind legs hung up in it. Staggering around in freezing mud trying to untangle her - at least it was the sensible one, and she stopped fighting as soon as she realized she was caught. And I don't use barbed wire. She's fine - not even cut. Got to Fedex in Reno... and my 9 am arrival was running late. Didn't get there until noon. I opened the box up right away, and there was a very cold, unmoving ball python in the bag. Opened it up, dreading the worst... and she lifted her head and flickered her tongue at me, so she promptly got her bag closed back up, and stuffed down my coat to warm up. That's where she spent the next several hours until I made it back home. The pictures are horrible and she was understandably not being sociable, just snapped a quick couple between the bag and the tub, but she is gorgeous! Her yellows glow right through the markings! So far she's breathing fine, attentive and responsive, and no mites that I could see.

And just picked a name for her - Shasal.

Wow very pretty, what an eventful time it's been for you! I hope all ends well!
On another note, why didn't I see this yesterday so I could feed the addiction and snag two more females... zzzzz
