    Leachy Housing?
My local reptile show is coming up and I am interested in getting a leachy gecko. Most of the care sheets I've been reading online and the advice I've been getting regarding their housing has been all over the map. Some people recommend a 40 gallon tall while other people have told me to use a simple 20 gallon aquarium. Also is a basking spot needed or is it only necessary to keep the ambient temps from mid 70s to low 80s? Thank you for any information I really appreciate it!

I have zero personal experience, myself, but am planning to acquire a leachie in the next couple years. I will probably house him in a 24" x 18" x 24" ExoTerra. If he turns out to be truly giant, I would increase the cage size. Some people in the crestie community get a little crazy with housing. The other day I saw someone tell a newbie that you could only house a single crested gecko in a 24" x 18" x 24" cage. I disagree with that sentiment.

We house our leachie in a Barrs 16x16x20 currently (herpcages.com). She's currently 12" snout to tip of tail or about 9/10" snout to vent, pondi/yate mix. Eventually we'll move her up to either a Barrs 20" cube or I also have an empty glass aquarium that is 30x10x24. We do not provide any additional heat for her, she's kept in the house, not in the snake room and does great in the cooler temps.
this is an old pic but here she is. they have the cutest faces
