    Fake plants?
    When using fake plants from hobby lobby or Michaels what do you stick them in or how do build a base for them? Is dry floral foam ok with your snake?

    I've used the foam but found it does absorb liquids and semi-liquids so it's not easy to keep clean.

    If you get plants just go with the wide-leaf viney type and lay them in the enclosure so your snake can hide under them.

    Be sure to check them over carefully for sharp edges or protruding wire before you buy them.

    I haven't done this yet, but I've been looking for suction cups to hang some vineing plant high up on the tank walls.

    I ordered some magnetic plant holders (in a faux rock foam form), from New England Herpetoculture, but that won't arrive until the weather is safe for shipping plants. Found some sticky hooks at the Dollar Store. Was tempted, but may not they be safe for snakes if the sticky partially fails.

    You could maybe get the little plastic hooks and then just hot glue them in place. Or as mentioned above, just lay them around. i got a 3' vine of fake leaves from the dollar store and just coiled it up and put in my encloser and my bp seemed to like that just fine.

    You need;

    "A green plastic watering can
    For a fake Chinese rubber plant
    In the fake plastic earth"

    Fake plants are great! I bought mine from the reptile expo. They have a strong base made out of some sort of resin material. I'm sure if you look into it, you can make your own. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3b6622e16a.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3322476cee.jpg

    I use the vines from Michaels and then go to Home Depot and buy http://www.homedepot.com/p/OOK-5-lb-...4404/202341596. They work great.
