What a nice mate for your pied! Banana pieds are so amazing :D she will get there eventually, the wait is a killer but it all pays off in the end. Keep us updated on your projects :)

I'm in the same boat as you buddy with the same combo. My pied girl has gotten very picky. In November she went on a hunger strike, I offered mice and rats but she refused. She was so close at 1375 g, she rejected f/t live or frozen mice every week. Long story short I found a local supplier of ASFs and she couldn't resist. She's now sitting at 1535, now waiting on the male to hit 600 g.

She's just under 1000g. Now so hopefully she'll get there for this fall. I've been trying to switch her from live to ft for the last year that I've had her. She went on a 3 month strike before I caved and got her live again. She'll eat weekly for a month, then take a month off. It's very frustrating. I'm starting to worry she's a mouser by her last few meal preferences. I've contemplated trying asf but don't want to get her hooked on them if I can't have a steady supply. It's always the pretty ones that give the most problems!

Nothing wrong with feeding a ball python on mice for the rest of its life, If thats what it's preference is. Just as I'm sure some prefer rats, multis etc.

My 2013 pied is a problem child too. She only eats F/T ASFs. At least she's consistently eating, so she's worth springing for a bag of them just for her. She's got a date with my candy, so I'm hoping she puts on enough weight to make next fall since the road will be long enough with double hets...

My Pied boy was a trouble eater when he was younger but now he's gaining weight faster than the girls. He's almost at 1200g and eating like a pig.
