    Ball python won't crap
I got my first ball python two weeks ago from a pet store. She has eaten four fuzzy since I got her and is very active however she hasn't had a bowel movement as of yet! Is this something to be concerned with or should I just give her more time?

Bowel movements are directly linked to food and since hatchling utilize most of the prey item for growth there is very little to nothing to be eliminated if not fed appropriately, they also do not have a schedule they go when they go it can be every weeks or 2 or 3 or 4 or more.

Start feeding the right prey size and it will help with activity and bowel movement. Fuzzies are way too small even an hatchling out of the egg eat a bigger prey they get started on hopper.

I was in the same boat a few months ago. My first snake ever... I never really saw any poop that was bigger than maybe a pea. Then about a month later, she went into shed... the day I found her shed, she pooped... a LOT.

Like you, I was worried before I saw this. The consensus is exactly what Deborah said... when they are young, there isn't much waste from their meals as they are absorbing everything they can. Some folks said their BP's were quite "regular" and passing stool every week, while others said theirs really only went around shed time. I don't think you need to worry. :)

Thank you both. This is my first snake and just learning the ropes.
