Pre-Ovu or Post-Ovu?
Confirmed multiple locks throughout late nov to early jan.
She has not locked since so he has not been re-introduced, since every time i put them together she moves away from him like >( NOT TODAY SATAN.
so he's in his own tub and shes in her tank that's been modified with cardboard/foil to help humidity, yeah. anyway
i took her out today so she can slither around and she LOOKS double in size from a few weeks (like 2?) when i took pictures of her. I could be wrong shes a big girl in general. So i took her out, and she instantly wrapped up on my shoulders like usual, and then looked me in the face like woman look at me :D she's deepdeep in blue.
my question is (as she went on a fast for the month of december, and seeing as shes an adult) is this shed normal? or what should I be looking for if it's a breed relating shed?
I don't know. Part of me is like WOOO POTENTIAL BABEHS!
then a bigger part is panicking. Running inside my head screaming, arms in the air waving like limp noodles in a strong wind, going OMG what am i going to do, what was i thinking, whats gonna happen! And of course brings up everything bad that COULD happen. welcome to my mind, world, please enjoy your stay.
Or am i just freaking over a shed for no reason? I've read multiple things on breeding and signs and what to look for, I've got an experienced breeder on stand-by if i need help he's just not available at the moment until he's back from vacation in a week or so, and I'm sure everything is done right, she's healthy he's healthy temps are closely monitored, humidity, checked every two hours. Tank/tubs are cleaned regularly, they eat when they decide "MA I'M HUNGRY FEED ME!" they get to come out every day for a bit of 'play' and exploration time (closely monitored, on approved surfaces/in approved rooms, and only one at a time, can you imagine trying to wrangle 13 snakes at a time when they all go separate ways? Lol)
As I type this, she's staring at me from her tank, periscoping from her cool side (Which she's been favoring lately, except when i find her inverted on the basking side)
I love this snake, she's hilariously cute.

Re: Pre-Ovu or Post-Ovu?
I think it's still a bit early for this to be a post ovulation. The earliest that follicle maturation can occur is 4 months and usually can take 8 months to develop. She probably is still in the building phase. Once she starts really hugging the heat is consistent with fertilization. Good luck and keep introducing the male to her to be sure. :) Just bc she moves away initially doesn't mean she won't be receptive 2 hours later. Leave him in with her for a few days then take him out for a rest and to offer him food.
