    Scatha the Worm
    This is Scatha the Worm, a Thayeri-phase Mexican King. She's the first snake of my own, and the second one for the family. I got her in July as a little 14-gram noodle, now she's 41 grams, and looking freshly-shed gorgeous. She was named after a dragon in Tolkein, including the "the Worm" part. I didn't realize at the time calling little snakes worms was a thing. [emoji1]

    Here she is helping set up for a game of X-wing.

    Poor Scatha, she was summarily evicted from her cage this morning because Wonambi the Spotted Python escaped and Scatha's cage is more secure. But by the end of the month she should be in a nice roomy half of a T8, with Tanis the corn snake on the other side. And I need to switch the hides around tonight, Scatha doesn't really fit in Wonambi's. [emoji4]
