Blood identification <pics uploaded via Photobucket>

I have trouble identifying the species of my female blood. so please help me.

This is my adult female. I got her back in 2013. she's captive-bred from Canada.
I purchased her as brongersmai. but there's something weird about her characteristics.

first. I think her color is bit weird compared to "standard" brongs.
second. there's an extra row of scales beneath her eyes. and as far as I know, brongs don't have that.

what do you guys think? please let me know. thanks.


## Please note that I also have 1 breitensteini male. and she doesn't look like borneo either.
to be honest, I personally think her head color and body pattern resembles brong rather than breit.

I was really curious for the photos.
My first thought was red head curtus, but cannot be. The characteristics are different as babies and as adults too. I'm not an expert, but if I can have a bet, she's cutus X brongersmai mix.

Looks like a straight borneo to me but I'm not an expert. There is a lot of variety in breitensteini.

I don't know. The op bought her as brongersmai. Here is the photos of the head two of my brongs. If you look at her prefrontal and internasal scales, it's different. In her it have extra scales between the eyes and the supralabial scales also.

I know, but have seen and heard of a lot of variation in scale count from what is considered correct. I've never seen a hybrid that doesn't have a very distinct appearance, and this snake doesn't look muddy or questionable like ever other one I've seen. Lot of mislabeling rampant so seems to me more like the seller just didn't know what they had. Could be a several generation hybrid maybe. I'd be curious to see parent pics, if the seller has been contacted for clarification, did they breed this snake or were they reselling it?

That make sense. I've never kept breitensteinis, just brongs and st-s and like this I cannot have an idea. The baby appearance interesting also. I hope someone can chime that out. I'll follow the topic.

That looks very much like a pure Borneo. It doesn't look at all like a cross. I'm guessing that the person that sold it to you just didn't know what it was.
