New to the forum, future breeder here, long time hobbyist! Pics!
Hey all, just thought I'd do a quick introduction. I'm Ian, 27 year old veteran. I have a wife who I've convinced to like snakes some how haha. I have a almost two year old son who loves the snakes and just points and says snakes 100 times.

I'm just getting back into the hobby, but have kept GTP's, balls, boas, etc. I also have a very high end salt water aquarium that I've been running for nearly two years now.

I do plan on breeding eventually, right now I'm just building up stock and raising my babies. I am in the market for adult females to get while I can.

Tonight I ordered a 6 tub 16 quart rack system with recessed heat tape. Hopefully it comes in quickly so I can get these babes out of their tubs and get them into something more secure and easy for me.

My favorite breeding project are pieds and some of the GHI lines. My wife and I favorite snake is a GHI Mojave.

Anyways, here is my line up so far!

    1.0 Ivory Possible Fire

    0.1 Bumblebee

    0.1 Albino

I use F10 to clean all of my tubs, and clean them as needed. I probably clean the entire tub twice weekly. I have been feeding live small mice twice weekly, but hope to switch to F/T rats this upcoming week. I feed every Saturday and I hope to get these guys up and growing. I would like to get my Ivory up and ready to breed to a female Yellowbelly adult asap.

    Thanks for looking!

Welcome to the forum, I also recently joined and hope you will find this forum as informative as I do. Nice start to your collection, that Ivory looks awesome. I been considering adding an Ivory but I'm trying to control the BP addiction.

I have been growing my collection and this year will be my first breeding season as my girls are and will be up to size. Best advise I can give you is to make sure you quarantine any new arrivals for 90 days as far away as you can. I made the mistake to place a new purchase from craigslist years ago in my rack that ended up having mites and it spread to my other balls. It was a headache to deal with but lesson learned.

    Lovely albino!

So I've been wondering about using LED lights for snake set ups, much like the LEDs used for salt water tanks. My ex had a really cool salt water set up with lights that ran on a day-night cycle complete with sunrise and sunset, also it could do thunderstorms. Do you think it could work the same way for snakes? It would be super awesome if it was possible to do a light pattern like a dappled forest light, like the sun shining down through a tree canopy.

    Good luck with your snakes!

Thanks everyone! I found a guy in Orlando two days ago that had a 1000 gram male Piebald for $200, I sold some coral out of my fish tank to buy it and he sold it from under me 30 minutes before I drove down there!!!
