Scale rot or Burn? Help!

Can't see the pictures at all. However, being on wet bedding is not bad as long as the bedding is clean. If it has urine, urates, and feces in it that is a recipe for disaster. I believe it would have to be longer than a few days. A unregulated heat mat is a burn waiting to happen. Hope it's not too serious.

Regardless, unplug the heat mat until you get a thermostat to regulate the heat output.

Initial treatment for both is basically the same - apply a weak iodine solution to the affected areas and keep the snake on a clean, dry, non-irritating substrate like paper towels.

And get that heat mat regulated!
