Cleaning out BP Cage
My baby BP took a mean dump this morning. I cleaned that up, but then I figured I should just clean out the whole cage since it smells in there now. Can I just use dish soap and rinse it out thoroughly with hot water?

Yes, that should be fine as long as you get it rinsed well. If you search this forum and the internet, you'll see all sorts of things... some use rubbing alcohol, a little vinegar, dish soap, then others, like myself, use something like F10sc which is made for cleaning and disinfecting animal enclosures. Unless noted otherwise, just rinse everything very well before putting back in touch with the snake.

Re: Cleaning out BP Cage
Washing down a cage every time a snake makes a mess can get time consuming especially if you have more than a couple snakes. I use paper towel as substrate so when I clean I simply take out the mess, spray the tub with a little vinegar and wipe it out. Smell is instantly gone and the process takes less than a minute.
