Is there such thing as a pastel super fire?
What if you breed a firefly to a firefly would there be a possibility of a pastel super fire? I looked it up on genetic wizard but found nothing! Or am i missing out on this gene?:)

Yes, you could produce a pastel super fire from this pairing, odds are 1 in 8.

If you are on genetic wizard then you need to enter one of the parents as a fire but you have to click on the fire gene twice. I think.

On WoBP, Firefly x Firefly produces:

    Percent Fraction Morph
    6.25% 1/16 Normal
    12.5% 2/16 Fire
    12.5% 2/16 Pastel
    18.75% 3/16 Firefly
    6.25% 1/16 Super Fire
    12.5% 2/16 Pastel Super Fire
    6.25% 1/16 Firefly
    6.25% 1/16 Super Pastel
    6.25% 1/16 Superfly
    6.25% 1/16 Superfly
6.25% 1/16 Super Pastel Super Fire

For a snake with multiple morphs, like a Firefly for example, you would click 'Fire', then hold down 'Ctrl' on your keyboard and click 'Pastel' so that they're both selected. If you just click on the second morph, it deselects the first one.

Personally, I'm greedy... I want a Super Fire with Pastel and Yellowbelly. But I don't think you can actually see the Pastel or Yellowbelly on a Super Fire. It would just be in case I decided to breed him. I think that would have to be a Super Fire from Ultrafly x Ivory Fire, to be sure. Hmm....

Yes, as others have said, pastel super fire is possible. Because firefly is not the result of a single gene. It is the result of two mutant genes working together, and each gene is in its own gene pair.

One gene pair has a pastel mutant gene and a normal gene. The second gene pair has a fire mutant gene and a normal gene.

By the way, in that WoBP firefly x firefly mating chart above, there are two boxes marked firefly that should have been combined. Also two boxes marked superfly that should have been combined.

Yeah, I've wondered why WoBP breeding calculator doesn't combine them. It seems to some times, other times not - no idea why. I just copied it over as it shows up on their site.

Actually odds are 1:4. Odds would be 1:8 if only one of the parents had pastel.

Negative, he was right, 1:8 for pastel super fire, 1:8 for Superfly which is Super Pastel Fire, and 1:16 for each super separately or for the double super.

Maybe my mental math is wrong , but even WOBP agrees with me (18.75% +6.25% = 25% = 1:4)

EDIT: Yes my mental math is wrong. Brain is already in the Bahamas :P
