Pinkish discoloration? Help!
I noticed on my 4 month old BP today that there are some slightly pinkish tan spots near his tail. Any idea what it could be? Is it anything urgent I need to go to the vet for?
Thanks.

Re: Pinkish discoloration? Help!
Firstly, try to calm down and let us know how the animal is living. Hello by the way. What type of enclosure is he in and what are the ambient temps, hot spot temp, and the cool side temps? Humidity percentage? Most importantly how are you heating the enclosure? Some times ball pythons can curl up pretty tight in their hides and the pressure from the object on a white snake will show up as a reddening. A impending shed cycle could cause this as well. Worse case scenario is that the bp sustained a burn. That is why it's important to let us know how the heating is delivered. :)

My pastel champagne had very similar pink blotches like this all over her body quite recently. Caused me a little concern, but turns out she was just going into shed. It was the first time I'd seen it on her despite quite a few previous sheds in my care, and I was surprised at how distinct the colour was in some places. Apparently it's a normal occurrence in light/white snakes.
