    hey guys so i got a JCP and i know that you can hear them breathe but mine is REAL LOUD and i am just checking up to make sure everything is normal, also have her in her cage with it all setup and i will have pictures later.

    Good Job! She looks right at home. :)

    I have a hearing loss with screaming tinnitus. When my adult Carpets and Boas climb on my shoulders I can hear heavy breathing. Now they ARE exerting themselves.

    The first time my Boa did it I thought she was hissing.

    I wasn't very clear.

    I'm not saying that is what you are hearing. Since I can't hear it unless near my ear, I don't know what "normal" is. That was just a possibility.

    Just be aware of whistling noises and mucus from the mouth and/or nose. Then be concerned about a respiratory infection.
