    Blackbelly
Good Morning and Happy Monday to all my fellow reptile enthusiasts!

I'll make this question brief and to the point:
Is anyone working with the blackbelly gene?

I was doing my usual reading of the WOB app and came across a morph called the yellow jacket, which was blackbelly x pastel. I loved the incredible contrast between the black in the pattern and the yellow, a really nice looking animal. I haven't seen any for sale until recently when I discovered my local reptile shop was selling a breeding size female labled "possible blackbelly" for a little over $100.
I've never seen a blackbelly in person or actually seen any for sale so I'm not sure how to identify whether or not this female is legitimate. It got me curious as to how to identify this morph and how many people are actually working with this gene? Is it worth taking the risk and picking up this female? Has anyone ever produced other blackbelly combos other than the pastel x blackbelly combo?

I know my question isn't as brief as I said it was going to be lol, just very curious as to whether or not this is a project worth pursuing.

I believe a company called Ball Python Distributors bought most of the project. They had some on display at Daytona along with a Yellow Jacket. They're still uncommon and priced pretty high. A friend of mine has a Black Belly female, I may be able to get some comparison pics for you.

Go to the petsore and look at it's belly.

I have searched this topic a few years back when I hatched a few " black bellies". What I found is a lot of people own/hatched snakes with black bellies, that doesn't mean that it is a Black Belly. I sold mine as normals, but you never know until you prove them.
