To feed or not to feed pre-shed?
If your snake is about to shed, do you typically offer food just in case they'll take it, or do you wait until they've completed the shed?
I ask because Noodle was super dull the last time I saw him but hadn't gone into blue yet- however he hasn't come out in a day or two (he fluffed the new substrate when I put it in yesterday, but has been in his humid hide the entire time since then). Usually he's pretty active on feeding day, and I don't wanna stress him out by going through the motions if he's not going to eat.

**update: nevermind, he's totally in blue lol. Picked up his hide to check on him and saw his eyes so.. I guess I'm throwing away that pup in the fridge.

I prefer not to feed a snake when it looks like going into shed. Most captive ball pythons are full of fat anyway, and skipping a meal has no effect. I'm not religious about the issue, though.

I usually skip feelings during shed cycles.
