OK.......i'm tired of reading topics and seeing these terms that i see ALL THE TIME...i just never have bothered asking what the terms mean or bothered doing research. But now i'd like to get to know what it all means and start my research....

if there's another topic like this, just lock this one and give me the link to the other topic

    ok..for my questions

What does the term "het" mean?
I know what an albino python looks like (oh so beautiful)..and i assume all this revolves around each other
What are pastel bp's? i've seen pictures of pastel bp's and normal bp's..but i don't see much difference....except in the price for one. must be my untrained eye.

    also Morph...?

basically i'm getting interested in the genetics of these snakes now. to possibly breed in the future.

any other terms that you'd like to fill me in on..i would appreciate it.

Het=I can't spell it,but it means it has genes of a morph.Ex:Het Albino=An animal that carries genes for albino,so if you breed it with an albino or another het ,it MIGHT produce an albino.

Morph=how do i explain this....a mutation in apperance or color.

Pastel BP=It looks like a normal but has lighter brown/yellow color.

    Feel free to correct me.

what is the most expensive reptile(rarest) on the net?
Het = Heterozygous = Having two different alleles for a single trait. For example, the gene for seed shape in pea plants exists in two forms, one form or allele for round seed shape (R) and the other for wrinkled seed shape (r). A heterozygous plant would contain the following alleles for seed shape: (Rr).

Morph = Basically means trait, but sounds cooler. i.e. You could say that you are a blue morph, becasue you have blue eyes.
