Do snakes, lizards, arachnids mind the smell of candles or other strong scents
JW cause I light a lot of candles in my room where I keep all my animals. Can the smell bug or hurt them in any way? Might be a dumb question but I wondered about it today while watching my T's

My ball python can be sensitive to strong smells. I know this because if there is a strong scent he sneezes a lot[emoji5]

I look at it this way - snakes only have one working lung. Since they can't be outside in the fresh air then it's my job as their keeper to give them the healthiest environment possible, which means no indoor smoke of any kind.

They need a lot of ventilation in the room, but other places in the house it should be okay. They aren't as sensitive as birds to things like that, but never burn anything in a room near your snake without excellent ventilation
