    Business Name Idea
I was thinking of names for my pending reptile and feeder businesses and came up with this idea. Mostly its for the reptiles, but the name could be adapted for use with the feeders as well. My boyfriend is a Gemini and I am a Taurus. Now, I don't look very much into signs and such but I though this sounded neat.

    Twin Tauren Reptiles

For feeders, it could be Twin Tauren Feeders, or Twin Tauren Rodents.

Currently, I go by Clarke Reptiles and thought about Richmond Feeders for the feeder business I might start. Thoughts?

Why do you need too different names? It would get confusing. Lots of reptile stores goes by reptiles and still sells rodents. For example some of the businesses here are J and J reptiles and they sell feeders.

Stick with Clarke reptiles! You can still advertise your rodents on the side.

My only problem with Clarke Reptiles is it uses my last name. If I ever get married in the future, I'd have to change it. I'd rather go with something that is not related to a name or location as both of those could change.

True, but I plan on keeping the two businesses completely separate. The reptiles will be more of a hobby and not a profit-making business (unless I end up making a profit, and that would be great, but I doubt it).

I would stick with an all in one name. They go hand in hand.

I'd stick with one name, too. It'll get confusing otherwise and the last thing you want to do with a business is confuse people. I personally like Clarke Reptiles. I don't see why the name has to change if you get married. You know that it's your name but clients won't. Clarke could mean anything, really. If you've already started under that name, I think it makes more sense to keep it.

I know everyone seems to like Clarke Reptiles, but that won't be my last name forever and I wouldn't want my business name to reflect the name my ex-husband gave me. :P:rofl:

And I don't want to use something that pertains to my location as that could always change. I agree that the name could be used for both the reptile business and feeder business. My boyfriend likes the idea of Twin Tauren Reptiles. I like how it sounds but I do want an idea of how people react to it (hence the poll). I can keep Clarke Reptiles for now, but I'd hate to start building business and a reputation under a name that will change.

When I first read Twin Tauren Reptiles, I got a visual of Twin Towers Reptiles. Not sure how that would be viewed by the masses. Maybe I'm the only one who saw it like that.

Hmm. No one else has mentioned that. I'd be interested to see if anyone else sees that.
