Best breeder?
What is the best breeder online? By "best", I'm looking for quality, attitude of snakes, and price. I'm hoping to expand my collection but, I want to make sure they are great animals (due to past experiences). Thanks for reading.

You won't find any good deals looking at the big breeders. Just look around and see like kingsnake or even here.

It doesn't need to be an amazing deal but, I don't want to pay an extreme price that is just insane. Like a normal for $80...

I like buying from local breeders and have found several that I like and trust. For a snake I plan to have as a pet, I like to handle it and get a sense of its personality before buying. I have been disappointed by mail order before. Try looking on Kingsnake or going to a reptile show.

you can find many cheep snakes online. however the only reason to go with just one person for your purchase is to save on shipping. other then that your best bet to get a decent deal on a snake is to go to a herp show or your local breeders. your account isn't showing where you live or i would look up some shows in your area.
as far is 80 dollar's for a normal even the box stores are cheaper then that. as far as quality i did about 6 months of reading before getting my snabies, every breeder has their own hater's and every one has their own fans. some of my friends love a certain breeder but i find his available stock to be 25-50% higher prices then others and don't see the quality difference between them.

Google Ball Python breeders, get names from various classified sites here, fauna, kingsnake and research the breeder on the BOI
Note: No one will guarantee a BP for its attitude/temperament there is too much that comes in play such as age of the snake, stress level, the way YOU keep the animal etc, plus it's a BP, they pretty much all start out defensive mellowing out with size.

Just remember to plan around an extra $50 for shipping.
I stay local for now.

Re: Best breeder?
Agreed with the others. Keep in mind that there are a ton of awesome smaller breeders out there with animals available that will knock your socks off. These boards are a good place to start, as well as the other resources that have been mentioned above. :gj:

just please don't use pet's barn petco or petsmart. pet's barn in san antonio had respiratory infections on all their herps when i went in there, petco had a dead hatching who was less then 20 grams and they tried to sell it to me while it was dead saying it was sleeping, and petsmart has one for 3 months now at 0% humidity with what looks like sequins on its eyes due to being to dry to shead its eye caps. i've sence stoped shoping at all of them, if you want a brick and mortor store where you can go and see and possibly (depending on store policy) touch the animals try a web search for exotic pet stores in your area.

thank you for all the answers, everyone. i've decided im just going to buy a my local repticon that shows up 4 times a year and order on kingsnake any other time of the year. thank you all!
