    New snake and Merry ache
    Hello and Merry Christmas!
Today I got my very first snake! He is a male normal Royal Python <3
i was just hoping to check a few things? I have read on many threads and books to leave him to settle for 5 days, however his next feed is tomorrow. I don't want to disturb him and stress him out by trying to feed him, and possibly making him more stressed by doing so. I got him today, and he has poked his head out of his hide a few times. I was just wondering if I should wait until he is fully acclimatised? Or should I feed him and leave him alone for a while? I know you are not meant to handle snakes before and after feeding or when you first get one, and I'm worried that feeding him so close to him moving into a new environment will stress him and lead to further feeding issues. If any one had any opinions I would be very great full! Thank you 🐍

    Re: Happy Holidays ball-pythons.net!
Welcome Everyone was busy with Christmas so Awsome you Bought a Ball Im short on time here but wanted to tell you about the Great thread on explaining alot of what your asking I know I joined here in a Panic about my First Ball lol I would not feed him and let him settle in a bit more I also would make sure your tank is stabilized and if you have a under tank heat map please please be sure to have a thermostat if not it way to easy for your Snake to get burned don't trust it with no thermostat. .....I f your tank is stabilized just peak and make sure he's doing ok. Take a peak at Reptilebasics.com you will see good product's and read up the knowledge is worth its weight in gold. My Question is
    What substrate are you using?
    What equipment are you using?
Were did you purchase your Ball ?
    What temperature is the tank
What temp is your Hot spot ?
What is the apx age of your Ball?
I know alot of questions lol but yours answers will help us help you . I Look forward to helping you as many others also. I hope you had a Merry Christmas yesterday and just think next year you can buy your Ball Python a Present lol
